Stars from the hit BBC series Strictly Come Dancing launched Dancia International’s new flagship West End dancewear store last Saturday.
2007 series champion Matthew Cutler, who danced his way to victory last season with Misteeq singer Alesha Dixon, officially opened the store at midday on 7th June alongside dance partner Nicole Cutler and fellow Strictly regulars Iain Waite and Camilla Dallerup. The celebrity dancers then met with delighted fans, signing autographs and posing for photos at the new Drury Lane store.
The flagship store, located in the heart of London’s Theatre-Land, is the biggest independent dance shop in Central London and offers an unrivalled range of shoes and specialist dancewear along with the expert guidance of its friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Alongside Dancia’s extensive range of shoes, garments and dancewear for all types of dance, the new store showcases products by top brands; Gaynor Minden, Papillon and Grishko, and has the largest range of DanceAmo Latin and Ballroom products available anywhere in the UK.
Before the opening celebrations commenced, the celebrity guests found time to chat to Dancia International Director, Beverly Kirkup;
Beverly comments; “The Strictly team are busy preparing for the next series this September so we were delighted that they were able to take time out of their busy schedule and play such an important part in our grand opening event. The guys drew a huge crowd from around the country and in their usual friendly, down-to-earth style, were clearly thrilled to spend time with their fans.”
After a hectic two hour signing session, the dance stars took the opportunity to stock up on supplies from the Dancia range before dashing off to rehearse for performances later that evening.
Beverly adds; “We would like to thank Matthew, Nicole, Iain, Camilla and all of our customers and Strictly fans for making the official launch of our new London store such an enjoyable occasion.”
The new flagship store is located at; 168 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5QD and is open; Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 6pm, and Sunday: 11.00am - 4pm.
